Summer 2019 Update – Cristi Alexander

This summer has been a whirlwind of travel, services, camps and coffees. I’ve driven thousands of miles, shared with a lot of churches and small groups and met with so many individuals to talk about ministering to Missionary Kids through ISMK (International Society of Missionary Kids).

Speed the Light

In June I spent time with Kansas Youth Directors, Darin and Marlene Stroud, and their Kansas students at KYM Youth and Middle School Camps where I was invited to share about Speed the Light and missions. I loved being back at Wheatstate Camp and reconnecting with youth pastors and youth groups from around our great state! Over the weeks I had some sweet connections and conversations with students about missions and ministry. I also got roped into taking a bite out of a raw cow tongue for STL…it was as gross as it sounds! But we raised nearly $1000 for missions! If you’d like to watch the video of the cow tongue bite, click here.

Together 2019

At the beginning of August, I joined nearly 2,400 AGWM missionaries and MKs in Orlando for our largest missionary gathering in history. It was a sweet reunion of colleagues and friends who gathered from around the globe. We spent four days together for a time of renewal, refocus and recommitment as we worshiped and heard from the hearts of our AGWM and national leadership. The most poignant moment for me was during our recommissioning service, where each of us missionaries was given a commitment card to sign and place on the altar as a recommitment and rededication of ourselves to our missions calling and the Great Commission. I’ve been in missions for 11 years and I was recommissioned with missionaries who’ve served for five years and 35 years. It was a special moment for all of us as we were reminded of the work that’s been accomplished and the work still to come.

I Need Your Help

I have just four months to raise the remainder of my budget. That means I need your help! 2020 is already full of MK events and Task Forces around the world and I need to get back to my ISMK team to help with it all.
I need to raise $1,072 in monthly pledges and $5,000 in one time cash donations by December 31, 2019.
Would you help me reach these financial goals? I can’t do this without you and I would be honored to have your support!

Thank You

Each month I receive new financial partners as well as texts, emails and notes of prayer and encouragement and every time it’s a testimony of God’s goodness. Sometimes it feels overwhelming doing all of this on my own, but I’m constantly reminded that I’m not alone and  I have a worldwide community to help me along my ministry journey. Thank you for loving, praying and supporting through friendship and finances. I’m truly thankful for YOU!

Prayer Points

1) Travel safety as I spend a lot of hours in the car each week.
2) Our MKs are starting back to school all over the world and many of our college MKs are away from their familes. Please pray for our MKs and their schooling needs.
