Getting Close! – Cristi

So Close!

Great news, I’ve reached 82% of my budget! That means I’m sill 18% away from reaching my monthly commitments goal. To finish up my monthly support I need:

* 20 partners to pledge $25 a month
* 8 partners to pledge $50 a month
* 3 partners to pledge $100 a month

I’ve been given an extension through the end of September to raise the remaining monthly pledges but I can’t begin my official responsibilities with missionary families until I have 100% of my monthly goal met. If you have verbally committed to supporting me or have been thinking about doing so, would you consider making the commitment today? I would be honored to have you join my financial team!

You can give online by clicking on  http://worldmissions.ag.org/agwm_commit_form.cfm?AcctNo=294597.  My account number is #294597.

Or you can email me at alexander.cristi@gmail.com and I can help you get set up.

We’re Rough, We’re Tough

In June I was able to spend a bit of time with our new and veteran missionary families in Springfield, MO during Missionary Training and Missionary Renewal. The program is designed to train and prepare new missionary families in missional/cross-cultural living. They do this by taking the kids to the foreign land of MuKappa, which has its own culture with customs and traditions that new MKs must learn and adapt to. MuKappa is really just the back woods of Missouri, but the lessons learned and memories created there are invaluable as these new MKs prepare to head overseas for the first time. The MK chant says it all, “We’re rough, we’re tough, we’ve got the stuff…the task is great, the workers are few. I’m going over, how about you?”

Wales

In May, I flew back to Wales to pack up my home there. It was a bitter sweet time seeing so many Welsh friends who have become family to me over the years, mixed with packing up my belongings and saying goodbyes again. But overall, it was a joy to be back in Wales and know that I’ll always have a home and family there. One of the highlights of my trip was worshiping and speaking at Capital City Church again. Thank You

I’ve stayed busy criss-crossing Kansas and sharing about the needs of missionary families and kids with so many different ones in these last months. Thank you to ALL of you who have given, prayed, encouraged, loved on, and welcomed me during this journey!

Prayer Requests

  • Pray that my budget will come in quickly so I can begin my assignment with MKs.
  • Pray for the college-age MKs who are starting back to school in the fall, specifically the freshman who are spending their first year away from home and are away from their families overseas.
