Missions Trip FAQ

MK summer missions trips are designed to help high school aged MKs (15 years and up) experience a culture and a ministry other than the one in which they live. Taking a missions trip gives MKs an opportunity to see and minister in another culture. It is also the MK Bwana’s heart to see each MK experience the great commission and have a deeper vision to reach the lost.

You will need to fill out the Missions Trip Application and send it to the MK office. If you are under 18 years old, you will also need to have your parents fill out the Missions Trip Parental Consent Form.

Assemblies of God missionary kids ages 15 through college-age (and up) are permitted to go on a missions trip. College-age and alumni (MKs already out of college) serve as leaders on the trip.

Each applicant is required to pay a $100 non-refundable deposit to reserve your spot on the trip. Most trips are limited to 12-15 MKs (including leaders). The $100 deposit is included in the overall cost of the trip. Most trips will cost about $800 to $1,000 above airfare, depending on the location of the trip.

It is the MK’s responsibility to raise the money for the trip (including airfare). To assist in fund raising, you will be provided a sample support raising letter. You are also permitted to transfer money from your parents’ (00) accounts to help with trip costs. Approval from your Regional Director is required before account transfers can be made. Full support must be raised prior to the trip date.
